Good Neighbor Award
The Lincoln Downtown
Neighborhood Association presented the second Good
Neighbor Award on June 11, 2003 to the Community
Alternative Workers (CAN) group who so diligently keeps
our downtown neighborhood clean. Members of the CAN
group were presented with ribbions durning the
reception.
In 2002 the DNA board decided that the
neighborhood needed to award those folks who promote the
friendliness of the downtown "hood". They came
up with the DNA Good Neighbor Award and had the ribbons
designed at Awards Unlimited. The qualifications for the
award are quite broad: a person, group or organization
that visibly adds to the friendliness of our
neighborhood. Nominations can be given to the DNA board
at anytime to be voted on at the monthly board meetings.
